• Experienced practitioners as a refresher course.

Purpose
• To learn key principles of the lean management system
• To define customer value within your organisational setting
• To understand how to create 'thinking people'

Process
The workshop includes presentations from the facilitator, small group discussions, and a game; largely it is an interactive and cumulative learning experience, using several cycles of the well-tested, fun game. The process delivers the following lean tools and concepts:

• Assessing the current situation and target condition
• Value stream mapping
• 5S
• Gemba

• Applications in manufacturing, services and the office

Benefits
At the end of the workshop participants will have an understanding of lean management's core principles, the key tools and how to use them. This will equip participants to enrich their lean transformation journey.

Workshop structure
As indicated under 'Process' above, the workshop is an interactive and cumulative learning experience, using several cycles of the well-tested, fun game. The various rounds of the game are accompanied by reflection. This method introduces the core lean principles of:

• Checking the actual results vs. expected results
• Acting to capture the learning and improve further.
