This course is intended for learners who do not have formal training in monitoring and evaluation (M&E), but who have an embedded monitoring and evaluation function within a work profile. The course will contributes to building government's monitoring and evaluation skill capacity. Learners who attend the course will be able to raise their level of consciousness in different contexts about monitoring and evaluation.
By the end of the course participants will be able to:
Explaining the purpose of monitoring and evaluation as a management function.
Analysing current policy and organisation documents relating to monitoring and evaluation.
Conceptualising a monitoring and evaluation system for a selected programme, project or organization.
Assessing how monitoring and evaluation is applied in specific work roles.
Work effectively with others as a member of a team, group, organisation or community in understanding own role in a monitoring and evaluation process.
Communicate effectively in explaining monitoring and evaluation concepts and own role in a monitoring and evaluation process.
Demonstrate an understanding of the world as a set of related systems by recognising that problem-solving contexts do not exist in isolation in explaining the alignment of plans at different levels and the implications for organisation and/or programme performance.
