Walkers plan to paint Atlantic Seaboard pink in the name of breast-cancer awareness

Be part of the festivities at The Lookout at the V&A Waterfront on 21 March 2015, when thousands of walkers turn the streets of the Atlantic Seaboard pink in aid of creating awareness around breast-cancer issues. You don't need to be super-fit to enter either - the 5-km walk is un-timed and meant to be fun, so whether you're a speed-walker or stroller, we'd love see you there!

The aim of the walks, which are held all around South Africa, are to raise funds for PinkDrive, a public benefit organisation providing free breast-cancer screening for women around the country, in addition to raising awareness of the importance of regular screenings. PinkDrive is present at every walk where they offer free breast examinations, as well as the opportunity to talk to a representative about any breast-related matters.

While it's called a women's walk, men are most welcome to come along, so bring your male companions, the whole family, or a group of friends and join in the fun.

The walk village will be set up at The Lookout, located on Granger Bay Boulevard at the
V&A Waterfront, which is also the start and finish points of the walk. Walkers can look forward to musical entertainment, courtesy of the band Chasing Time and comedian Wayne McKay will be the MC for the morning.

Lucky draws will take place throughout the event and our nutrition partner, Futurelife, will treat you to some delicious smoothies to sample and take home too.

Hot and cold refreshments will be on sale before and after the walk and every participant who finishes the walk gets medal and a goodies bag full of products.

Sound like something you don't want to miss? Then don't delay and get down to any one of the
Pick n Pay stores listed below or enter online to have a great time and help support PinkDrive.
