Adobe After Effects CC
Welcome to the exciting world of After Effects! Ever wonder how Hollywood gave Luke Skywalker his light sabre? Or perhaps you're a Game of Thrones fan and you would love to make a pop-up version of Johannesburg city? If so, then this course is definitely for you. This course aims to teach you practical special effects and post-production while referencing and analysing real world projects from famous films, series and animations.
You will learn the ins and outs of working at a postproduction company or animation studio while practicing the skills necessary to do motion graphics by completing your own motion graphics project. The project will cover concepts from conception (storyboarding, asset generation with Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator) to execution (sound effects with Adobe Encore and editing with Adobe Premier Pro).
Pre Requisites:
- National Senior Certificate (Matric).
- Learners should be able to work with the Operating System (Mac/ PC).
- Applicants should have a basic working knowledge of Photoshop.
- A basic familiarity with Illustrator will be a bonus.
About the lecturer:
Vernon Joyce is a respected graphic designer with an unnatural love for any Adobe software package. Having worked across most design disciplines, he is able to incorporate software into real-world practical projects that are relevant to any industry. He has post-production and video effects experience with clients such as Standard Bank, with a keen understanding of the quality of work expected in a corporate environment. Vernon currently runs his own design studio.
