It's all about Pink this Valentine's Day at the Pick n Pay Women's Walk in Durbanville.
While Saturday may be about red roses and hearts, we're inviting you to join us to change it to pink by joining us for a fun walk in support of the PinkDrive, an organisation that provides free breast-cancer screening and education around the country.
PinkDrive will be onsite at the walk village on walk day offering breast examinations, free of charge, and walkers are more than welcome to visit to them with any questions they may have around breast-cancer issues.
While it's called a women's walk, men are welcome to join in the 5-km walk, so bring your male companions, the whole family or a group of friends and join in the fun. The walk isn't timed, so you can do it at your own pace.
The walk village will be set up at Durbanville Race Course, which will also be the start and finish points of the walk. Walkers can look forward to musical entertainment, courtesy of Chasing Time and comedian Wayne McKay will be the MC for the morning. Lucky draws will take place throughout the event and our nutrition partner, Futurelife, will treat walkers to delicious smoothies to sample and take home.
Hot and cold refreshments will be on sale before and after the walk and everyone who finishes the walk will receive a goodies bag full of products, as well as a medal.
