5th Annual Supplier Development Seminar + Workshop 2015

Theme: Transforming Procurement Through Constructive Supplier Development

Bespoke,in proud partnership with Lean Enterprise Acceleration Programmes (LEAP), presents the prestigious 5th Annual Supplier Development Seminar + Workshop 2015 scheduled to take place from 18 - 20 August 2015 in Midrand, Johannesburg.

Supplier Development is the process of working with selected suppliers on a one-on-one basis to improve their performance and capability to meet the short and/or long term needs of the buying organisation

There is no single approach to supplier development. Each approach should suit the relationship between the buyer and the supplier, and should align to the supply market and the needs of both parties.

Supplier Development should be a sustainable and long term cooperative effort between a buying organisation and the supplier, with the objective of upgrading the suppliers' technical quality, delivery and cost capabilities to foster on-going improvement.

Seminar Day 1: Transforming Procurement Through Constructive Supplier Development

Today, supplier development faces numerous challenges resulting from transformation imperatives, localisation needs, globalisation, socio-economic factors, buyer advancements, resource constraints, quality demands and cost pressures.

Supplier Development is an essential component of Supplier Relationship Management and is vital for the transformation of supply chain management. In the South African context, this includes developing black owned suppliers to ensure the necessary transformation and participation of historically disadvantaged suppliers in the mainstream economy.

During this one-day seminar you will hear from expert speakers and leading companies, sharing up-to-date knowledge and in-depth practical tips about how to approach supplier development and enterprise development initiatives.
