Chef Roger Jones at the Vineyard Hotel
The Vineyard Hotel in Newlands will host an intimate wine-paired dinner on Friday, 9 January 2015, with Michelin-starred Chef, Roger Jones from the UK's The Harrow at Little Bedwyn. Word-of-mouth excitement for this unique event has mounted over recent weeks, resulting in almost half the tickets already being sold. Food and wine enthusiasts are encouraged to book soon to avoid missing out on this rare opportunity to experience Michelin-standard cuisine, paired with extraordinary South African and Australian wines.
Celebrating premium cuisine and wine, Jones has designed a special 6-course menu, showcasing his culinary skill, while also complementing the exceptional wines on offer. Each of the six courses will be accompanied by a South African and Australian wine, which will be served blind in pairs, by the Vineyard Hotel's food and beverage duty manager, David Wibberley. After each course, guests will have the opportunity to comment on their favourite wine and pairing.
The menu has been developed in conjunction with Chef Carl van Rooyen and his team, from the Vineyard Hotel. Combining the hotel's rich food and wine history with Jones' Michelin training and 40 years in the hospitality business, this dinner is sure to delight both food and wine aficionados alike.

Guests wishing to take full advantage of the wine selection on the night are encouraged to make use of the Vineyard Hotel's special accommodation offering. This rate includes the Roger Jones dinner, a night in a single or double room, with breakfast on Saturday morning. Rates begin at R2,750 for a single room and R3 890.00 for a double room and are valid for the night of 09 January 2015 only. Should guests wish to extend their stay, they will be able to receive 20% off the Best Available Bed and Breakfast Rate.
