The Summer Experience 2014
Usher in the summer fun with The Summer Experience 2014 on Saturday, 20 December.
Taking place at The River Club in Observatory in Cape Town, The Summer Experience has a renowned reputation for first-class production in both sound and décor, top musical acts, well-stocked bars and a variety of gourmet food options (spaced conveniently throughout).
Bring along your umbrellas, camping chairs or blankets and enjoy the summer sun while listening to groovy beats. There will be plenty of provided shade and comfortable seating too. Once the sun goes down the Summer Experience officially kicks off with an amazing production that will keep you on your feet all night! So don't forget your dancing shoes!
And, drumroll... The newly renovated VIP area comes complete with a swimming pool and cocktail bar!
The day/night event (3pm to 2am) features a line-up of what Big Dreams are made of. Performing live, will be local superstar Jimmy Nevis has just released his latest album The Masses, to wide acclaim. The alternative pop singer, songwriter and producer styles his sound as having 'quirky lyrics, acoustic tones and catchy melodies'.
The wild child of the South African pop scene, Toya De Lazy is flying high after the success of her debut album, Due Drop Deluxe, and revellers will be treated to her hit music and show-stopping performance.
The soul brothers of pop band, Beatenberg-who've just released their debut album, The Hanging Gardens of Beatenberg-are Matthew Field, who sings and plays the guitar, Ross Dorkin on bass, and Robin Brink who 'plays the drums like a nutcase'.
Electronic music duo, Surge & Sarah are debuting their exciting act at the festival. Sergio Marques otherwise known as Surge; is a South African DJ, and Sarah Charness, who hails from New York City, is a DJ and classically trained violinist!
The supporting line-up boasts top local talent: DJ Milkshake, Ryan Dent, Craig De Sousa, DJ Lyle, NV Funk and Carl Wastie who will play as the official event MC.
Even though you're already a winner for simply being at The Summer Experience; there will also be a number of exciting competitions throughout the course of the event from which you could win a number of fantastic prizes!
