Cape Town Carnival celebrationsBring your family and join in as the 2015 Cape Town Carnival celebrations begin. With unique performances by two talented community groups, make sure you are at the V&A Waterfront Amphitheatre on Sunday, 14 December 2014. Hosted by South African Hip Hop recording artist and Cape Town Carnival brand ambassador, ProVerb, these two groups - the Likhwezi Arts Project and BioRithm - will showcase their remarkable talents in the lead-up to next year's Elemental-themed Carnival. Spectators will be entertained by incredible dance routines from Likhwezi Arts Project and BioRithm, part of the 2 000 dazzling performers who will line the streets for the fifth annual Cape Town Carnival on Saturday, 14 March 2015. The Likhwezi Arts Project is made up of a group of young people from Khayelitsha, Philippi East, Gugulethu and Langa, who have been taught a combination of song and dance from a variety of South African cultures. BioRithm is a community dance fitness company specialising in the fitness revolution called ZUMBA, and aims to foster charitable initiatives that raise funds and awareness for important health causes. The performances will start at 15h00 at the V&A Waterfront Amphitheatre and is free of charge.
