Focus will be on a full range of events including conferences, exhibitions, seminars and roundtables on behalf of government and corporate clients.
This short course is aimed at middle to senior level practitioners in the fields of marketing, public relations and communication management who seeks to gain a better understanding of events management and the tools used to plan a successful event. A wide variety of special events will be covered. Delegates will be given the opportunity to plan for an event using their imagination and creativity but also be introduced to the various tools to plan and execute a successful event.
Furthermore, the course is practical in nature and is aligned with the unit standard: Arrange a Public Relations/Communication event: (ID number 110295).
Programme outcomes:
Gather and analyse information to assist event planning.
Plan an event.
Identify and procure supporting resources needed.
Arrange logistical elements of the event.
Evaluate the event against client requirements.
The programme is concluded with a practical workplace based assignment.
The short course is endorsed by PRISA (Public Relations Institute of Southern Africa).
Provox is the preferred endorsed service provider for PRISA.
PRISA cpd points are allocated to PRISA members
Provox is provisionally accredited by the Services SETA.
Even though the short course is aligned with the above unit standard (US 110295), it is not registered with the Services SETA.
