Get ready for a feast of fun at the Summer Sun Festival 2014!

This time of the year most people can associate with the lyrics of The Beatles song "It's been a hard day's night, and I've been working like a dog..." All everybody really wants to do is kick back, relax and not even have to think about entertaining the kids. Have no fear...the Diaz Summer Sun Festival 2014 is near! From 15 December 2014 until 3 January 2015 the Diaz Summer Sun Festival will officially transform Diaz Strand into planet fun... no holds barred!

If the unimaginable happens and you find yourself bored with the beach and all the sun-drenched bodies, the schedule of activities and amusement will make you wish for more hours in a day. The crowd favourites are back and you will be amazed by the loads of new entertainment and activities. The Water World will keep your adrenaline levels elevated and the outside stage will be the heart of the festival. Etha, singing sensation of the duet group Country ChiX and professional MC , will be in charge of the stage for the duration of the festival. With Etha at the helm of fun there will never be a dull moment as she is best described as the "audience zeal-stirring singing sensation". Under her masterful control all competitions, giveaways and entertainment will keep the audience riveted.

The ever popular touch rugby competition, All Gold Hot Summer of Touch, will as always be a source of great excitement with an abundance of fit bodies to keep the ladies mesmerised. Diaz Summer Sun Festival will make sure that everybody is catered for, even the 4x4 enthusiasts, as Landrover will be launching an activation on 29, 30, 31 December and 1 January 2015. Algoa FM will be 'amping' up the fun, in association with Eskom, on 30 December during their outreach. Diaz will again be hosting its annual Amazing Race on 28 December where participants are tasked to team up with their BFF's to unravel intricate clues, participate in zany tasks and ultimately outwit and outthink their competition in order to come out on top and win the big prize. Brace yourselves as the fun will be extreme to the level of absolutely ridiculous!

The collection of beauty competitions, by now synonymous with Diaz Summer Sun Festival, offer great prizes and incredible opportunities for the winners which make them certainly worth entering. The Baby Competition kicks off the competitions on 17 December, followed by Mr Muscles on 18 December and Miss Sand Pebble on 19 December. On 19 and 20 December the coveted Diaz Long Board Classic surf competition will draw the crowds and on 20 December Mr Diaz Junior. On 21 December Miss Diaz Junior, where after Miss Lizzie Teen Bikini will happen on 23 December. Miss Diaz will take place on 26 and 27 December whilst the ladies can come and see Mr Diaz Hunk by Landrover on 31 December. Then the guys are in for a treat with Miss Roxy Bikini by Outerpool Surf on 30 December and Miss Billabong Bikini on 2 January 2015.
