National Youth Orchestra 50th Birthday Concert
The National Youth Orchestra are celebrating their 50th birthday in style with an exciting selection of music ranging from classical favourites to jazz greats.
The concert features top international and local guest artists including world famous soprano Barbara Hendricks, Grammy Award winning saxophonist Magnus Lindgren, Standard Bank Young Artist bass guitarist Concord Nkabinde, and sensational local drummer Rob Watson. The orchestra will be conducted by one of Europe's top young conductors, Fredrik Burstedt.
The season runs from 23 November 2014 to 5 April 2015.The Summer Sunset Concerts take place at Kirstenbosch National Botanical Garden. Rhodes Drive, Newlands, Cape Town on Sundays:
Gates open 4pm
Concerts start 5.30pm and end at 7pm
Ticket prices range between R100 and R160 for adults. The special Youth Ticket (6-21 years) will also be retained (ranging from R75 to R140)
