Responsible Tourism in Cities Conference

The City of Cape Town is hosting the Responsible Tourism in Cities Conference to discuss and promote the importance of managing tourism in a way that benefits South Africa, local establishments, the communities and the environment.

One of the City's objectives is to promote tourism that creates better places for people to live in and better places for tourists to visit. This is why one of the objectives for this year's conference is moving Responsible Tourism practices into the mainstream, with the aim of making it a norm so that economic benefits and social aspects of this concept can be felt across all communities in our City.

The event will kick off with a Gala Dinner on 27 November from 6:30pm - 9pm; the actual conference will take place on 28 November from 8:15am - 4:10pm.
