Visit the Stellenbosch Slow Market for opportunity to meet and chat to popular stars of food reality TV show, Kokkedoor.
The wunderkind of contemporary, artisanal food in South Africa, popular Kokkedoor season 2 winner Johnny Hamman, together with his business partner and Kokkedoor 2 runner-up Marius Uys, will be delighting audiences at the renowned Stellenbosch Slow Market when they provide insight like never before on just who they truly are and what the experience was like to be part of one of the most highly rated shows in the country. The duo will also be joined by another Kokkedoor favourite, Alet van der Westhuizen, who regularly joins the duo to provide food adventures to those with an appreciation of creative food.
So what lies ahead for a reality TV star after the show is over? What truly happens behind the scenes on a show like Kokkedoor? When is Johnny's cookbook coming out? What difference did the show make in their lives? Did the show open doors for them? Do they have any regrets participating? All this and much more will be revealed in a fun and informal environment on Saturday, 15 November 2014, when all questions will be answered by these popular TV personalities.
Hamman, Uys and Van der Westhuizen will be joined by award-winning food personality Anél Potgieter (food writer of leading Afrikaans newspaper Rapport, as well as 2013 and 2014 winner of best food blog in South Africa at the annual Eat Out Awards) from 11h00 to 11h45, whereafter those attending can pose questions to the reality TV stars on anything else they would like to know. Photo opportunities and an autograph session will also be available, so those who own the Kokkedoor 2 cookbook are encouraged to bring it on the day.
