Bird Walk

We will take a casual walk up to the foot of the mountain and see how many different bird species we can identify. We will rest at an allocated spot to observe the magnificent mountain range and see if we can spot some of the Cape Vultures that are currently breeding on the mountain.

At 6pm we will get together in the lapa area for a braai.

This is what to pack: Hiking shoes, Binoculars, a camera, something for the braai (meat, salad, rolls).

A cash bar will be available.

Owl Rescue Centre acquired new premises at the foot of the Magaliesburg Mountain. Our facilities include a dormitory (sleeps 40 learners or volunteers), nine chalets, five safari tented camps, Owl Rescue Centre novelty shop, restaurant and lapa area, swimming pool, wildlife info centre and more!
