You can experience it all at the 9th International Oriental (Belly) Dance Festival in Cape Town 24-26 October 2014, the annual charity event in aid of The Saartjie Baartman Centre for (abused) Women and Children in Athlone.

Friday, 24 October 2014:

The CIAD (Confederación Interamericana de la Danza) International Oriental Dance competition will be held at the Ratanga Junction Mega VU theatre from 10am until 4pm.

The opening gala evening once again takes place at the Ratanga Junction Mega VU Theatre where you can enjoy performances by professional international and South African oriental dancers. This will take place at the Mega VU Theatre at Ratanga Junction at 8pm.

Saturday, 25 October 2014:

Workshop day where you can learn from the world's best oriental dance teachers.

Sunday 26 October 2014:

Fringe Program at the V&A Waterfront Amphitheatre. There are hundreds of belly dancers, from beginners to master level; from all over the world performing. Performances begin at 10.30am and finish at 6pm, both days.

There is also a Bazaar where you can buy dancing accessories, jewellery, costumes, food and much more presented by small businesses from South Africa
