Management principles for supervisors/foremen
This workshop develops the skills needed to plan, organise, lead and control a team in order to accomplish its goals. The learner will also understand the core and support functions of an organisation.

It is a four day workshop/module and includes the following:
• The management activities involved in running a successful business
• The basic activities involved in the management process
• Identifying and explaining the main tasks required of managers
• Applying the decision making process to take a management decision
• Analysing the application of the general management functions in a selected organisation
• The various core functions of an organisation
• The support functions of an organisation
• The role of a selected work unit in an organisation, in relation to the core business
• Investigating and explaining the difference between line and support functions in an organisation.
