Sheryl Long's Cancer Fight

Come have a night of fun, music and laughter in aid of raising funds for Sheryl's cancer fight (who has recently been diagnosed with an inoperable brain cancer and has been given three to six months to live)

Join Emo Adams on 20 September 2014 and help in raising funds to help ease the stress of the ever increasing medical bills.

Sheryl's story
I was first diagnosed with breast cancer in 2003. After a lumpectomy of my left breast, I received treatment of chemotherapy for eight months and daily sessions of radiation for eight weeks. I was in remission and cleared of cancer for eight years. I began to find a new purpose in my life and participated in fundraisers, community service and being an ambassador, standing up to raise awareness for breast cancer. Being recognised by the community I received nominations for various pageants for being a role model to both young and old. My passion has always been for children, and in 2009 I created a charity called "Race to Live" where we made the dreams of children living with cancer and other life threatening illnesses, come true. See www.racetolive.org

The children are treated to passenger rides in racing cars, with volunteer racing drivers with their vehicles. Children are dressed up in full racing gear and entertained with their families for the day. Since the start of the charity, I have fulfilled the dreams of more over 500 children thus far! I have received many humanitarian awards as well as International Spirit of Hope awards and various titles for being a Role Model.
