Still confused about how Equal Treatment is going to impact your business? Then join CAPES as Johnny Goldberg shares insight and solutions on how to manage this to avoid EEA non-compliance problems.
Equal treatment of employees doing the same or similar jobs and/or jobs of equal value as contained in the Employment Equity Amendment Act No. 47 of 2013 promulgated on 14 January 2014 and the equal treatment provisions that apply to Temporary Employment Services (TES), fixed term contracts and part time employees who earn under the Basic Conditions of Employment Act threshold and who have been working longer than 3 months, are the most significant changes in labour law in the past 20 years.
Come and learn, from presenter Johnny Goldberg (CAPES Chief Operating Officer, current Employment Conditions Commissioner and renown labour lawyer) about potential solutions to equal treatment and equal value challenges and implement these now as the law became effective 1 August 2014. Not to do so is going to cause your organisation huge upward increases in costs.
We believe there are some simple solutions to these potential challenges but these need to be implemented as a matter of urgency within organisations. We have been involved in the drafting and negotiations of the legislation from the early stages and believe we can unpack the legislation and more importantly provide practical solutions thereto.
