Hosted at Curiocity Backpackers in the exciting Maboneng inner-city district, the monthly live music series provides a platform for a new generation of songwriters to share their latest work.
We'll be bidding Winter farewell with our fourth installment of
the series, with two engaging acts taking to the stage, for what
will be a moving and powerful Sunday afternoon outing.
Kicking off our line-up is a foursome of young artists who
got together in 2013, to bring life to the music in their
hearts, forming the neo-Soul band MindCraft. Despite being
relatively new to the live music scene, this act has firmly
found their own unique voice by tapping into all their different
influences to deliver a sound that is versatile and distinctly
their own.
MindCraft will be followed by Pretoria born and based singer
Naftali of the Royal Family. This gifted musician has been
performing from as far back as primary school and hearing him
perform, explains why he had to hold on to his childhood passion.
Naftali's signature sound is unmistakably African, and rooted
in the experiences and outlooks he has as a young someone who
has explored a smorgasbord of sounds and expressions.
Doors open 3pm.
