SMD Muscle Box and Dine Tournament
KwaZulu-Natal boxing will return to its former glory when the SMD Muscle Box and Dine tournament takes place on August 22 at SMD in Ballito. The event, the brainchild of former boxers Francois 'The White Buffalo' Botha and Hardy Mileham, will see no less than eight professional fights as well as two Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) fights on the card.
With the boxers and MMA fighters set to keep audiences captivated, there will be an exhibition match of the lighter variety that sees popular East Coast Radio DJ Darren 'The Assassin' Maule face 'The White Buffalo' in his first-ever major fight. An auction on the night will also see sport and boxing memorabilia, including gloves and autographed photographs, up for grabs with proceeds going towards the Buffalo Soldiers reality TV series which unearths boxing talent in South Africa.
