Photography in practise
When your love of photography begins to evolve into an all-encompassing passion, it's time to make the leap from happy-snapper to serious shutterbug. You've already got the eye for the impressive image; now all you need is to get your head around the logistical stuff and you're on the path to legendary lensmanship.
That's where this course comes in. Its purpose is to equip you with an all-round working knowledge of the basics of photography as both an art and a craft. Here you will acquire a comprehensive understanding of all the fundamental principles of photography such as camera technology; compositional dynamics; visual communication theory; photographic technique and digital editing.
The course is intuitively designed to lay a sturdy foundation for the intermediate photographer who will then be prepared to move on to the more advanced masters classes and determine where their particular field of specialisation lies.
On successful completion of this short course, delegates should be able to:
• Understand the basic functions of your camera, shutterspeed, aperture, ISO, etc;
• Have a basic understanding of controlling exposure as well as depth of field;
• Demonstrate understanding of these settings in a practical assessment.
