Epworth food drive
From 8 to 28 of July in honor of the legacy Nelson Mandela left behind, let's all unite together and help Epworth keep food on its shelves this winter. A can... can feed a child
Items needed:
Tin foods bake beans, sweet corn, canned fruit, fish (tomato sauce) no chilli please, tuna, jam, mixed vegetables and tomato and onion.
Other items needed:
Cereals, coffee, flour, jungle oats, macaroni, matbella, pasta, peanut butter, rice
Sugar, syrup, tea and toilet paper.
Please note that we have nine houses which we cater for, during the week we supply a cooked meal (supper), every week each house get a weekly basket to provide them with basics to cover breakfast and lunch. Any 'spoilies' would be welcome.
All kinds of groceries are welcome: from dry goods; tin food; condiments; cleaning materials; toilet paper, etc.
If collecting cans is not your thing and you want to do some physical community work we've got something for you
Garden project - The training room has a small garden that needs lots of work landscaping, planting flowers, tidy up edges etc (all material are needed to be provided our garden tools limited)
or
Vegetable garden - If you have green fingers this is for you; the garden needs to be cleaned, fertilised and made ready for the next crops.
