The Policy Development and Management programme explores the impact that organisational policies have on the organisation and focuses on a range of factors that contribute to policy development.

Managers confront endless challenges as they strive to implement their policies within their organisations. Despite numerous policies being developed, change is often not incorporated into the organisation successfully. The challenge of policy implementation is universal and is faced in most organisations.

The reasons for unsuccessful policy implementation are many and they are extremely complex. The success of policy implementation in achieving policy purposes will depend on the Learner's awareness, knowledge, and ability to manage a web of these interdependent forces, stakeholders and processes successfully.
