Southern Africa Play Conference

The Southern Africa Play Conference aims to increase understanding and evidence of the importance of play and agree on strategies to promote safe and stimulating play as an essential right towards the holistic development of children.

Through the conference there will be an enhanced understanding of the importance of play by participants and in particular by decision makers.

The evidences and benefits of play will be better documented and shared among experts, implementers and decision makers. A common understanding on the focus and strategy of work in the next three years through the development of a joint advocacy plan on the right to play.

As part of Cotlands role to advocate for children's right to play, we are delighted to be organising the conference which would result in an advocacy plan for play in Southern Africa.
