This programme explores key digital marketing concepts, principles, techniques and main social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn. The programme investigates critical success and failure factors of digital marketing such as search engine optimisation; online communities and virtual worlds; blogging; measurements and digital analytics; quality content, collaborative conversations and customer engagement; online media planning, advertising, buying and campaign management; mobile trends and technologies; legislative considerations and developing an integrated digital marketing strategy and plans.

Learning Outcomes

Upon completing this course, students should be able to:

Discuss the emergence of the digital marketing industry and the impact on traditional marketing approaches
Evaluate the strategic purpose for digital marketing in an organisation
Explain the legislative contexts both locally and internationally
Define and use digital marketing terminology

About the Presenter

Ms Lauren Van Der Merwe
Lauren van der Merwe has been working in the Education Sector as a Marketing Specialist for more than 10 years. When asked what her passion is, she simply responds by letting anyone that is: "Marketing, marketing and then some more marketing".
Lauren has been the brand custodian for various organisations and her experience covers the full spectrum of marketing. As a zealous social media and digital marketing advocate, Lauren utilizes these tools to enhance traditional marketing and communication activities.
Her career has focused on the marketing of education whether it is for NGOs, public or private education providers. She believes that education can transform lives and is grateful her career has allowed her to do this.
At Regenesys, Lauren is currently the Executive Head: Sales and Marketing and is assisting Regenesys to achieve its 2020 vision of becoming the world's leading business school. She leads an innovative team who are dedicated to communicating the quality of the education and training offerings to potential clients across the globe.
Lauren has completed a BCom Degree and is currently completing her MBA Degree through Regenesys.

Certification

A Regenesys Certificate of Attendance will be awarded to Learners who attended the training session but who do not submit an Assignment.
