The Hudson Initiative BallWe aim to raise funds and awareness around Congenital Heart Diseases through a fun filled evening. All proceeds will go towards the purchase of Pulse Oximetry devices that detect the possible presence of CHDs. These devices will be donated to clinics and government hospitals. Make this Valentine's Day all about hearts. Not over-priced red ones with cheesy messages on them. Small, broken hearts. That could be fixed. How do you mend a broken heart, you may ask? Simply join us on Valentine's Day for The Hudson Initiative Ball. Glitz. Glad rags. Glamour. Gambling. R100 per person gets you in the door, feeds you and entertains you. Drinks and gambling are for your own account thereafter. All - and we mean all - proceeds go towards the purchase of Pulse Oximetry machines, which detect CHDs in newborn babies. The machines cost up to R400. There are 400 government hospitals and many don't have them. So don't just do the math. Block off your diary for 14 February 2014, and get ready to party for a cause. Oh, and tell your friends. The more, the merrier. Who knows, you might even get lucky. Dress: Glitz and Glam or casual - just be comfortable *Please note: Although there have been no incidents in the area for over a year, we will employ the services of several security personnel to monitor vehicles and pedestrians on the night. *Please also note: If you cannot attend the event but want to make a donation, banking details can be made available, please send us a message with your intention :-) Much love.
