HIJACK (UK)
HiJack is known for making and playing bouncy, funk-fueled grooves with chunky beats and quirky hooks. His sound fuses jacking house and techno, with samples from all musical eras and genres. Influences span from James Brown to the Neptunes, and include house pioneers Dave Taylor, Derrick Carter, and Jacob London.

Since 2006, HiJack has become an established name in the UK's underground house scene. HiJack's DJ sets are known for being packed with unreleased tracks, bootlegs and re-edits, and have generated a large following for his podcasts and mixes. Over the past year HiJack has performed at venues across the UK and Europe, and at festivals such as the Gatecrasher Summer Sound System and Holland's Dutch Gathering, alongside acts including Switch, Trevor Loveys, and Annie Mac.

In the coming months HiJack will be playing sets in territories across Europe and beyond. He will be releasing more singles and remixes too, and a long-awaited HiJack album, scheduled for release in 2009.
