Five-time award-winning singer-songwriter, Arno Carstens, is set to give audiences an unforgettable performance on Thursday, 23 January on the Bay Harbour Sound Stage at Bay Harbour Market.
As South Africa's most popular and successful artist, lead singer of acclaimed South African Rock band, the Springbok Nude Girls, and successful solo artist, Arno, draws in his audience with his impactful and instantly recognisable voice and distinctive blend of pop and rock, which has dramatically impacted the South African rock landscape.
The Big Band Summer Sessions will see Arno performing some of the greatest hits of his career, both as frontman of Springbok Nude Girls and solo artist. On stage with him, will be David Watkyns (Keyboard & Trumpet); Angus Warden (Drums); Richard Onraet (Acoustic Guitar); Graham Strickland (Stand Up Bass); Matt Willis (Trombone); Piet de Beer (Violin) and Lana Crowster (Backing Vocals).
Says Carstens: "We'll take the audience on a journey that encompasses genres ranging from intimate musical sensitivity right through to a searing landscape of sound."
Arno has shared the stage with legends of the music world including U2, The Rolling Stones and REM, proof that this home-grown talent can rival anything on the international scene.
Arno has also won 5 South African Music Awards including Best Rock Album and Best Male Artist plus has released 10 studio albums in his career with over 20 top ten singles that include "Another Universe", "Hole Heart", "Dreamer", "Emergency", "Two Dogs" and "Battlescars Gallactica".
Carstens has toured extensively in SA, UK, Europe and USA and has performed at some of the most legendary international music festivals including Isle of Wight, Glastonbury, V-Festival, T in the Park and Hard Rock Calling.
Selected food stalls will be open as well as a full bar, promising an intimate evening with world-class entertainment in a warm and vibrant setting. Limited tickets are available.
