GCC 2010

The GCC 2010 revision was necessary in order to clear up on-going issues of responsibility and to provide for a wider spectrum of construction work.

This has led to the 2nd edition being suitable for a variety of uses including civil, mechanical, electrical and building projects or a combination of these types of projects. But the contract is not without its critics and it has widely been reported that it appears to be a blend of FIDIC style of drafting with mechanisms found in the NEC. So during this training course we will take a complete unbiased and 360° look at the contract and its changes in detail so that you can gauge its actual workability in your construction environment.

This training course has been researched and developed with one aim in mind. Rather than simply running through the clauses we will progress through the stages of the project from start to completion and then dealing with the relevant clauses as they apply to each of these stages. And wherever possible we will illustrate each application by way of real-life case studies.

Your registration includes a free copy of the General Conditions of Contract for Construction Works - 2nd Edition 2010 valued at over R500
This training course has been awarded 2 CPD points by SAICE Validation # SAICEcon12/01294/15
