FilmCraft and EditCraft for Joburg NGOs

Gauteng based NGOs: learn the essence of filming and editing your video stories in two workshops.

Following on the successful ScriptCraft workshop held in Joburg in November, Jetty Wave returns to Joburg on 30 and 31 January 2014 to roll out FilmCraft and EditCraft - workshops aimed at upskilling NGOs, CBOs and communities with the skills to film and edit their own stories. These workshops have been rolled out to over 150 NGOs in the Western Cape, KZN, Eastern Cape and Gauteng.

Making a video does not have to be costly or time-consuming. Learn to tell your story in your own voice using video as a medium and then screen to your community, upload to YouTube or embed in your website. Learn the essence of camera techniques, filming an interview, capturing cut-aways, lighting and sound. Learn how to edit to create dramatic tension. Lots of video examples and practicals.

Use these videos for marketing, advocacy and awareness campaigns. Keep your funders informed of your projects through your videos. Videos can alo be used to train volunteers, community members and staff.

Meet participants from other NGOs and use the workshop as a way to network. R700 for two days - 30 and 31 January from 9 am to 3 pm at Khotso House, Marshalltown. Come experience a workshop unique to the grassroots NGO sector.
