Gone, but not... - 19 May 2008

Be strong: I am on my way... to the desk next door. I am handing our retail portal over to Shan Radcliffe, who is far prettier than me, a great deal brighter than me, far, far younger than me (who isn't?) and will generally take Retail on to greater heights while I get my hands on a new bizcommunity.com project that I am not going to tell you about... yet. In the meantime, and to say thank you to all our current subscribers (sorry, not an appropriate term in these days of power shortages, but what else can one say) some figures to whet your appetite... Our Retail portal, like every other bizcommunity.com project, has gone very well and we are gaining new subscribers at a rate of knots - gaining about 300 per week, in fact. At the moment we have well over 14,000 subscribers - not bad for the few months we've been in operation, and that goes to show that we must have been doing something right. But we want to take it further, and to do so, we need you... We need to know what we're doing right and, more importantly, what we're doing wrong, what we can drop and what we can introduce to get you all excited. Thanks for your support and feedback, and please welcome Shan.
