Discussing the challenges facing junior miners in Africa and exploring potential solutions.
There is no denying the challenges mining, and particularly juniors, face in South Africa, and that's exactly why the Institute for International Research (IIR) is so incredibly excited about hosting the 2nd Annual Junior Mining & Exploration conference and exhibition.
Junior miners are facing exceptionally tough times in South Africa: the regulatory landscape is growing increasingly unfriendly, access to capital continues to be a massive issue, and labour relations are at historic lows. We spent several months doing in-depth qualitative research with junior miners and mid-caps, so we understand the problems, and we've put together a conference - themed around solutions to these very problems.
