UTZ Certified Sustainability Event

UTZ Certified. Better farming. Better future.

UTZ Certified works hard to make sustainable farming the most natural thing in the world. We're on the right track, because an increasing share of the world's coffee, cocoa, tea and rooibos today is grown responsibly. In fact, by the end of 2012, an estimated 8% of all coffee and 13% of all cocoa produced worldwide was certified by UTZ. We warmly invite you to take part in this venture. Come to our first national event in South Africa, hear first-hand experiences and join in a lively debate. And discover how the UTZ program can benefit your company as well.

Your sustainability strategy endorsed. That's better.

The UTZ program enables farmers to learn better farming methods, improve working conditions, take better care of the environment and create better perspectives for their children. At the same time, UTZ provides supply chain actors and retail with an independent and reliable trust mark for sustainable sourcing. The UTZ label also ensures consumers that they can enjoy the products they love, trusting that they were grown, harvested and processed sustainably.

The program will include a number of key speakers, a Rooibos and food pairing and a panel discussion. Speakers include: Han de Groot - Executive Director UTZ Certified, Tatjana von Bormann - Market Transformation Manager WWF-SA, Willie Nel - Ysterfontein Boerdery, Madelé Mouton - Mouton Citrus, Princewell Pendame - Malawian emerging farmer, Phialene van der Merwe - Carmien Tea, Tom McLaughlin - Good Business Journey Project Manager - Woolworths Foods, Lauren Hirst - Business Director Ogilvyearth, Jonathan Robinson - Bean There Coffee Company and other UTZ partners.
