Cinemark Junket gives a sneak peek into what's to come in 2016

Marketing professionals as well as creative and media agencies came together in Johannesburg and Cape Town on 4 and 5 February to explore everything that they need to know about cinema in 2016! The Cinema Junket impressed just like a Hollywood star - with a programme that included everything from developments in cinema to cinema buying options to a showcase of upcoming blockbusters - proving once again that it's always better on the big screen.

At the event, the cinema media house also highlighted the developments in cinema in the past months and made a few announcements.

Last year saw one of the biggest years in history with 2015 records being broken across the world. Stefan Rheeder of United International Pictures (UIP) explained that box-office revenue hit a record $11 billion in North America, beating 2013's $10.9 billion and up 6.3% from last year's $10.35 billion.

The Cinemark Junket was a platform not only for the industry to sit back, relax and experience cinema at its finest but also to get a sneak peek into the biggest titles in 2016, which include The Huntsman Winter's War (April 2015) , The Secret Life of PetsBourne again (July 2016) .

With top quality content, the best people invested and the big screen, 2016 is set to be bigger and better than any year before!
