LIRA Unplugged at the Lyric Theatre
Ten time SAMA Award winner and recent Wawela Music Award Winner - Songwriter of the year 2013 - LIRA delivers an intimate one night only unplugged performance at Gold Reef City's Lyric Theatre on 3 August 2013.
Following the recent release of her fifth studio album "Rise Again: The Reworked Hits Collection" which includes a brand new single titled "Eduze Kwami" and all new reworked versions of LIRA's best loved songs, this first time format for LIRA is the perfect way to give audiences the opportunity to witness all of LIRA's hits and classics and more.
Ardent fans of LIRA will also have the opportunity to meet this star singer as there are 80 limited tickets available for R500. This includes front row tickets as well as a meet and greet and photo opportunity with LIRA after the event.
LIRA says, "It's taken weeks to rehearse, we wanted to pay homage to the original unplugged format and have no electric instruments on stage. It's all acoustic and I can't wait to share this intimate set with fans and new audience members. The show includes many popular songs but also songs that we don't normally perform as many of them lend themselves to acoustic interpretation. I have wanted to do this for years and finally my wish has come true".
