Conflict Management and Dispute Resolution Skills

Conflict is the primary engine of creativity and innovation. People don't learn by staring into a mirror; people learn by encountering difference. Ronald Heifetz

Conflict is a challenge in today's workplace! How do we mitigate this in an effective manner?

This two day Conflict Management and Dispute Resolution Skills workshop will provide insight, tools and techniques for proper handling of workplace conflict.

Conflict holds the potential to promote innovation, develop new perspectives, and enrich relationships. Conflict is present in all organisations and in all relationships yet, most people demonstrate poor conflict resolution skills, and feel that conflict only produces unsatisfactory outcomes. This does not have to be the case.

Those who manage conflict well are among the most effective and productive. During this workshop you will learn strategies which produce constructive, mutually beneficial outcomes as opposed to negative outcomes. You will explore the key behaviours that enable you to make handling conflict a useful and constructive process. You will also explore different approaches to conflict handling and identify your own typical approach, along with its advantages and disadvantages in various types of conflict situations. You will receive guidance on how to select the most appropriate conflict handling/dispute resolution approach for the circumstances. In essence, this course provides participants with understanding and skill to manage and resolve conflict and disputes in a manner which will improve workplace relations, team cohesion, and overall productivity
