Funk, Soul and Rhythm at Bay Harbour MarketThe Bay Harbour Market is hosting live music this weekend. Friday 31 May presents the Funk/Soul sounds of Harri and the Honkeys on stage for Friday Nite Live! On stage on Saturday afternoon, 1 June, is Spanish Flamenco-inspired band Acoustic Liquid. On Sunday 2 June Bay Harbour Market welcomes jazz singer and pianist Lee Gold to the stage with her ensemble: Lee Gold Music. Harri and the Honkeys take you on a "retro, funky-style journey" of a playlist spanning the past 50 years, making this band the ultimate "wind-down" for the week. On stage on Saturday 01 June is Acoustic Liquid. This band plays Flamenco guitar, combined with soothing and mood-emoting lyrics and vocals. The band is well-known as a "crowd-pleaser" due to their interactions with the crowd through their music. Acoustic Liquid started off as a cover band in 1998 and has since moved on to write their own original music. They have performed at many popular pubs in and around Johannesburg and Cape Town, and corporate events. Be sure to catch them live on Saturday night! The Bay Harbour Market welcomes Lee Gold Music to the stage on Sunday 02 June. Lee Gold primarily plays Jazz music, but also incorporates pop, latin and funk music. Lee began playing piano at the age of eight and has, throughout the years, expanded her musical ability and is now a professional and talented musician. Lee performs with a trio or quartet of musicians. She is a talented pianist, vocalist and keyboardist. Lee Jazz Music's soulful performance is the perfect way to gently end off a great weekend. In addition to the exuberant sounds of the market's live bands, Bay Harbour Market also offers a wide range of stalls to browse and shop at, from delicious cuisine to clothes and trinkets.
