Eurozone retail sales downBRUSSELS: Retail trade in the 16 eurozone nations fell unexpectedly sharply in February, dropping 0.6% from the level in January, official EU data showed on Monday, 6 April 2009. The figure was sharply worse than a drop of 0.4% forecast by analysts polled by Dow Jones Newswires. The volume of retail trade in the entire 27-nation European Union fell by 1.2%, the EU's Eurostat data agency said.
