Now that the winter chill is setting in, it is time for some great indoor fun with Artjamming's Winter Holiday Programme in Cape Town and Jozi. A perfect opportunity for children to explore their creativity with Artjamming's Winter Holiday Programme being held from the 24 June to 5 July 2013 in all stores in and around Cape Town and Johannesburg. We invite all kids to join in on the fun and let your imagination and creative skills flow.
The Winter Programme will start off with the Andy Warhol workshop every Monday where they will learn about the art of symmetry and colour.
Tuesdays are about the art of comics where children can create a character and then animate it in a short comic sequence. By using primary colours, bold lettering and expressive action drawing children will develop a classic comic style. At the end of the course, this artwork will be copied onto a canvas.
Wednesdays are all about creating a Jackson Pollock collage where a variety of materials are used to create their own collage on a canvas board as well as learning the art of splatter painting to create their very own artwork.
Thursdays will include the Graffiti Workshop. Children will develop a classic style using primary colours, bold lettering and expressive action drawing. Again, the artwork will be copied onto canvas after the course.
And finally Fridays are all about the art of Mosaics. Children will learn to mosaic tile and grout their very own artwork and paint a replica of their mosaic onto canvas.
