Intelligent Marketing Practice is Learning

Intelligent Marketing Practice is Learning - Henley Business School Africa and Global Marketing Network as the Learning Channel for South Africa's Marketing Practitioners

Global Marketing Network (GMN), the Global Accreditation Body for Marketing Professionals, and Henley Business School Africa are working together to develop excellent operating standards for African marketing professionals against globally-established standards.

Following the success of last month's inaugural event, Henley Business School Africa and Global Marketing Network, in association with Advantage magazine, are delighted to announce this second event providing an opportunity for you to shape and influence the future of marketing in South Africa.

Theme:
Marketing education, much like management education, is challenged as to its effectiveness in addressing the learning needs of today's global marketing professionals. As we move further along the development path of the global knowledge economy the notions of work and learning are becoming increasingly blurred.

This talk develops the theme that 'Intelligent Marketing Practice' is learning. In essence theory and practice need to be brought closer together. This has profound implications for our understanding for how Intelligent Marketing Practice evolves and develops.

It will explore the role and function that GMN and Henley are seeking to perform as a learning channel to best support the continuing professional development of marketing practitioners in South Africa. You will also have the opportunity to have your say and discuss and influence how the learning model itself might develop.

Presenter:
This event features Professor Martin Reynolds, a non-executive director at Global Marketing Network and Head of Centre Leadership and Management Practice, Birmingham City University (UK). A former Dean of both Nottingham Trent University (UK) and Anglia Ruskin University (UK), over the past ten years Martin has been actively involved in developing new and innovative work-based courses for companies at both undergraduate and postgraduate level.
