South African Artists for Aids Awareness Concert : a one night only music and dance event.
The Africa Institute for HIV/AIDS Management, a non-profit organisation linked to the Africa Centre for HIV/AIDS Management at Stellenbosch University, is hosting its annual installment of the "South African Artists for Aids Awareness" concert.
Ushering in the significant 16 June Youth Day commemoration. This concert on Sunday, 9 June will celebrate and honor the youth of the country and the tremendous impact many of South African young people are contributing to the country.
Celebrating the unsung individuals who do great work in the HIV/AIDS field and other areas of humanity. Utilizing the creative arts such as dance, music, theatre, photography and comedy - the aim is to continue making people aware of their individual responsibility to help turn around the HIV/AIDS epidemic, crime, substance abuse among all people in South Africa and globally; "LET'S BEAT IT" is the title of this wonderful event.
Singer, actor, performer and Professor, Jimmie Earl Perry, who is also the director of the concert, will be joined by the Mike Campbell Rhythm Orchestra, Wolfgang Riebe as presenter and performers from the Waterfront Theatre College and many more exciting and talented South African artists.
