SABC responds to Sunday TimesThe SABC yesterday, Monday, 23 March 2009, issued a statement in response to theSunday Times front page story on Sunday 22 March, saying that the report mentioned in the newspaper was only preliminary, regretting the 'splashing' of names and calling the leakage irresponsible. The statement reads as follows: ![]() The SABC has noted with regret the article that was on the front page of the Sunday Times, which gave details of the preliminary report that was presented to them. The SABC would like to express its regret that the individuals names [sic] that were splashed in the newspaper even though the newspaper itself acknowledges that the report was preliminary. This kind of action does not only discredit the individual themselves but also jeopardize the process that we are engaged in. |
