Markus Schulz SA Tour supported by Aly & FilaMarkus Schulz, recently voted America's #1 DJ by The DJ Times and World #13 is performing for the first time in Cape Town on 8 March and in Johannesburg on 9 March. Schulz will be supported by the trance duo from Egypt and World #19, Aly & Fila. Global Takeover promises an intimate night out with Schulz at The Side Show for only 1 100 partygoers and NuWave Entertainment will deliver another show second to none in Johannesburg as artists of this calibre deserve no less. Markus, fondly referred to as the "unicorn slayer" is a German DJ and producer of progressive trance and house music who is currently based out of Miami, Florida. Playing over 150 gigs a year, he has become the busiest international DJ playing out of the United States. This is not Schulz's first EDM accolade; he earned the #9 spot on DJ Magazine's Top 100 DJs of 2011 - a much respected international list on which he joined Deadmau5, Avicii, David Guetta and Tiesto in the top 10 elite. Markus has recently been nominated for 5 IDMA's this year including -Best Global DJ and Best Radio Mix Show (Global). Back in 2003 Aly & Fila burst into the international clubbing consciousness with their massive hit "Eye of Horus". Their gorgeous, euphoric, uplifting blend of sweeping trance has seen them rise to A-list status alongside the likes of Armin van Buuren, Blank & Jones, Johan Gielen, Tall Paul and more. Voted #19 by the DJ Mag top 100 DJs in 2012, it is Aly & Fila's third consecutive appearance on this list. The duo has been gigging at a dizzying amount of different points on the globe last year like Taiwan, Belarus, Lithuania, Peru and India on top of the usual European and American hotbeds.
