Bollywood Comes to Gold Reef CityThe energy and excitement of Bollywood is about to take to the stage at the Globe Theatre at Gold Reef City in "Oh Golly it's Bolly" - described as a colourful explosion of dancing and singing and acting. The popularity of Bollywood with its gorgeous stars, mesmerizing dancing and beautiful singing has transcended cultures so that it now has a massive following across the world. This spectacle, which has been produced by award-winning choreographer Jayesperi Moopen, debuts at the Globe Theatre from 7 to 31 March this year. Under the directorship of Ivor Jones with choreography by Priya Naidoo, "Oh Golly it's Bolly", is a celebration of the magic of Indian Cinema and spans over three decades from the 70's through to the present. The Internationally acclaimed company, Tribhangi Dance Theatre will perform along with live music by renowned singers and professional dancers from all over South Africa. According to Jones and Naidoo, the production will be full of banter and beats and will take you on a musical journey down memory lane with carefully compiled movie song hits as its central theme. "Oh Golly it's Bolly" promises to have something for everyone.
