International expert to host literacy workshop
Foundation and Intermediate Phase teachers are invited to attend a free workshop with international literacy expert, Jill Eggleton, in Cape Town on January 29, 2013.
Jill Eggleton, internationally acclaimed reading and literacy expert, will visit South Africa as the guest of Juta & Company publishers to host workshops with teachers in an effort to inspire learners and educators to embrace the written word by using innovative ways to teach and learn.
Teaching a child to love books and reading is one of the single most important skills any educator can impart because it allows them to understand and engage with any subject from Mathematics to Science.
The Cape Town workshop is aimed at Foundation and Intermediate Phase educators and hosted free of charge by Juta & Company.
