Composition propositions; Colour and colour values; Visual Communication.
BASIC PHOTO SCIENCE:
Light; Golden Formula; Focal Distance; F-stops; Shutter Speed; ISO.
CAMERA FUNCTIONS, SETTINGS AND MODES:
Aperture; Shutter Speed; ISO; White Balance; Auto Focus Systems; Camera Modes; Quality: RAW/Jpeg.
PRACTICAL:
Pinhole photography - determine exposure, take pinhole photo and develop film.
DAY 2:
LENSES:
Theory on lenses and lens characteristics; Focal Distance; Depth of Field; Practical technique.
AVAILABLE LIGHT:
Characteristics of light; The Light-meter; Grey Cards; Introduction to the Zone System; White Balance.
DIGITAL EDITING:
Understanding RAW format; Other file formats; Managing Digital Workflow; Importing RAW files; Lightroom Library platform; Managing your library. Practical: Available light using light meters, reflectors and grey cards.
DAY 3:
FLASHES:
Flash Science; Guide numbers; On-camera flashes; Studio flashes.
ADOBE LIGHTROOM:
Develop platform; Colour editing; Monochrome editing; Exporting.
STUDIO PORTRAITURE:
Introduction to studio lighting; Real time and strobe lighting; Five classic portrait lighting standards; Model make-up demonstration.
PRACTICAL:
Studio practical.
DAY 4:
MACRO AND CLOSE-UP:
Recap basic photo science; Formulas and theory on macro; Equipment: Macro lenses; extension tubes; bellows; rev. rings; di-optic filters and converters. Macro flashes; Focus stacking.
AUDIO VISUAL:
Understand AV; Software; Creative thinking; Transition and animation techniques.
PRACTICAL:
Using various macro and close focus systems; work with close-up flash systems; Techniques with food photography.
