The Top Gear Festival

Following the hugely successful sell-out show earlier this year, Top Gear Festival South Africa returns to the iconic Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban on the weekend of the 15-16 June 2013. The first and only 'stadium' show in the world-wide series, Top Gear Festival SA will once again deliver the usual dose of humour, silliness and the irreverent attitude the prestigious TV programme has become so famous for. While the TGL show is recognized as 'the best motoring entertainment show in the world' Top Gear Festival is the 'the car enthusiasts dream come true'.

The Top Gear Festival is an international and exclusive automotive/motorsport event which, while clearly an extension of the Top Gear Live brand, is a unique concept on the South African event calendar. With the complete support of the city of Durban and Province of Kwa-Zulu Natal, Top Gear Festival aims to become the biggest event of its kind in Southern Africa with an expected attendance of 78 000 across the two day festival in 2013 (9000 more than 2012).

Durban's world class Moses Mabhida Stadium is a feature all on its own, and its grandeur gives the Top Gear Live Stunt Driving Team plenty of room to thrill the audience with donutting and flaming rally cars, exhilarating hair-raising stunt maneuvers and nonsensical challenges. Along with the stadium performances, the city of Durban completes the show with the return of the 2km street circuit winding down and around the stunning Durban coastline.

Hosted by Jeremy Clarkson and James May, the guys will bring along their South African friends to create a truly unique outdoor experience that all South African car enthusiasts will be extremely proud to be part of.
