Contract management programme

Our course in Contract Management Managers provides an understanding of the different types of contractual relationships, and a means of identifying the appropriate contracting strategy to meet your project objectives. It offers a clear process for negotiating and agreeing on contractual outcomes and for managing the performance under the contract and ensuring the realisation of required deliverables and outcomes.

Successfully managing projects often requires ability to co-ordinate the effort of external resources and organisations. Effectively managing external stakeholders entails having an understanding and appreciation of contract types and processes, and how to negotiate effective contracts that support the delivery of project outcomes and expectations.
Just leaving the contract to happen doesn't work - the contract must be managed on an on-going basis. Failure to do so leads to quality being compromised, clauses falling into disuse (or even misuse) and disputes and claims proliferating. Most activities that are out sourced tend to be contracted for three - five years with options to extend for further years, so it is vital that the promised results are delivered throughout the life of the contract.
