Carols by Starlight at the Taalmonument
Well-known Drakenstein choirs, including Bel Canto, Bethel Congregational Kerk, Joyful Singers, Alpha Messengers, Living Hope Ministries, Annunciation, as well as the Huguenot Men's Choir, will perform at the Carols by Starlight at the Afrikaanse Taalmonument in Paarl on Sunday 2 December.
The programme also includes performances by the vocal group Adagio and soloists Loren Erasmus en Clarissa Benjamin. A combined mass choir will lead the audience in the singing of carols.
The concert, in aid of the Paarl Post's Christmas fund, starts at 19:00 at the lawn below the Taalmonument and ends at 21:00. Guests are welcome to bring a blanket and their own picnic basket or they can order one from Volksmond Coffee Shop (tel. 021 863 2800). Volksmond will be open for coffee and light refreshments.
Entrance at the gate is R15 for adults and R5 for pensioners and children (free under six years). Safe parking is available and access is controlled. No dogs or fires are allowed.
